What is JioTunes?
Jiotunes is a free caller tune service which is similar to the service offered by Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and other networks. The caller tune service offered by Jio is called JioTunes. We can also say that it is similar to call apple phones as iPhones and the music service as iTunes.
How to Activate JioTunes for My Jio Number?
Jiotunes is completely free. There are three ways to activate JioTunes.- Using JioMusic App
- SMS Activation
- Copy Caller Tune while calling others.
Activating Jio Caller Tune From JioMusic App
You must have JioMusic App installed on your phone to activate Jiotunes. If you don't have the Jio music app installed, please download it from Google Play Store or from iTunes. It is absolutely free.
- Open JioMusic App on your Android/iPhone.
- Check for latest caller tunes and new movie/song releases
- Search and select to set a song as your caller tune
- Preview the Song by listening to it.
- Get Activation confirmation SMS
Steps to Activate Jio Caller Tune By Sending an SMS
You can also activate the caller tune by sending an SMS to the number 56789. It is free too. Please find the detailed steps below:
- Open your Jio4GVoice App Open the Chat section
- Create a New Message with the content "JT"
- Send it to "56789"
- You will receive the list of movie category
- Select and reply to the SMS based on your choice
- You will get an SMS notification of the song you have selected.
- Now, to confirm reply with 1.
- The caller Tune will be activated.
Steps to Copy CallerTune From Other Jio User
Now that the third option is to copy the caller tune from other users. When you call someone and if you love their caller tune, you can simply copy it to your number in no time.
Here are the steps:
- Call the number which has your favorite caller tune
- Press "*" while the song is playing. This will initiate the caller tune activation process.
- You will receive an SMS requesting confirmation to activate caller tune. Reply "Y" to the SMS.
- You will get Jio Tunes activation SMS
How to Change Jiotunes?
Changing JioTunes is same as activating it. Just browse through your favorite songs and make it as your caller tune. The old tune will automatically be renewed to a new tune.How to Deactivate JioTunes?
You can deactivate caller tune by sending an SMS to "56789" Jio service again. You will receive an SMS which contains the instructions. Select the choice to deactivate the service and reply to the SMS with the correct option.
The Jiotunes service will be deactivated and a confirmation SMS will be sent to you.
JioTunes FAQ's
I Am Unable to Find Set Caller Tune Option in JioMusic App
Set as caller tune option is enabled for all the songs in the Jio music app. If you are unable to find the option, you need to update the app to the latest version from Play Store/iTunes Store.
Can I Set JioTunes or Caller Tune on My Nokia Lumia Phone?
If you are having a VoLTE enabled Nokia or Microsoft Lumia smartphone, you may use the default SMS app on your phone to send SMS to Jio service.
Send "JT" to "56789" and activate caller tune on your windows phone. Unfortunately, you can not activate the JioTunes from Jio music app as it is not available for windows phone.
You can also send the first three words of a song of your choice. Follow the instruction and complete the process.
Is JioTunes Free?
Yes, Jiotunes service is free as of now. But, it may be a paid service in the future. If so, appropriate communication will be sent.
Will My JioTunes Service Auto Renewed?
Yes, the jio tunes service will be auto renewed once in every 28 days or one month. If you do not want the service, you can cancel it at any time.
